I was able to watch about half the first period before I had to go to work. Can't believe I had the chance to see him get a SO and I missed it! ): I haven't found a replay yet, but at least I got to see the highlights. Nice to see him doing his "baseball move" and being a little feisty; obviously both signs of him being confident, cocky and on his game!

I was reading a little writeup on the site about Adventureland today, and was so happy to read about Roli (and JT) getting a warm welcome and "commended on their strong play and contributions in last night's home opener". So great to read about that kind of reaction from the fans towards him, even though they didn't get the extra point.

I was so disappointed to hear about Roli getting hurt and not being able to start! ): Glad he's OK though; hopefully he'll get to start soon!

I went back on the OMB today for the first time in ages, and noticed that I now have my "hfv" username back! I found a bunch of my friends on there too, including (hopefully) rockonoil, who was the one who told me the story about Roli I shared on HFBoards a few months ago.

I wouldn't actually get to go unfortunately since it's in Terrace (about 4-5 hours by car from here). I just found out that it'll be on Sportsnet Pacific, so I'll at least get to watch it! I'm sure he will too! You're right, it would've been nice if the Isles had been able to capitalize on some of their chances to help him out when he obviously wasn't feeling as confident. I'm sure you saw that Tambellini signed with the Canucks today. It was funny, as soon as I found out he was waived by the Isles, I was thinking how interesting it would be if the Oil signed him. But obviously his dad has connections w/the Canucks too, and it sounds like he's really excited about coming here!

I'm sure you've seen this too...the save was #3 in the Top 10 saves of the week on NHL.com. JDD made it in there too, #6 for a save vs. the Ducks!

Is the game against the Oil being televised nationally? Didn't look like it was according to NHL.com. I guess we'll see! There are for sure going to be some on TSN later this year though. Hope he gets a warm reception from the Oil faithful.

It wasn't much, just some saves and stats, but always nice to see him get that respect and recognition after being so underappreciated for so many years.

It's definitely interesting that the Oil gave both DD's qualifying offers...not sure they would've done that if they were optimistic Khabbi would be able to play a lot next year. It's great to see how excited the kids are though! Summer has finally officially arrived in Vancouver...it was about 30 today and is supposed to be at least that warm tomorrow!

Keeping my fingers crossed for Roli tomorrow! He seems to have a pretty positive attitude about it all (not surprisingly!), but hopefully he'll be OK w/the way things work out, from both a family and team perspective. Glad to see he had an awesome first game back!

Last one I promise! Also, of course, that the impact he's had on so many, and the things we've learned from him, will last way longer than anything that happens on the ice.

Lol yeah I noticed that; that is kinda weird. In the "Personal Section" on the LH side of the screen, you should just be able to choose the "Set as Female" option, but if that doesn't work you may have to change it through the My Controls link.
