Awww man, I didn't realize till the other day that the Bolts/Leafs game tonight is on TSN, and I'm working late tonight. *major thumbs down*. I think the TSN site may have full replays though; keeping my fingers crossed! Hope they can take advantage of their success against the Leafs, and that Roli will be back w/his family soon!

Benny still hasn't come home, after almost a month now, so that's been discouraging. There's a pretty good chance that he's just gone back to his "wild cat" lifestyle, so I'm trying not to worry about him too much; as long as he's safe and happy that's all that matters. I'm probably going to be getting a kitten when I get back from Europe...less than 6 weeks

BTW (knew I left something out, b/c I always do! ), it's awesome that the Isles seem to have made a pretty strong effort this off-season to improve defensively; hopefully that'll make Roli's job easier and give him the chance to get the team more Ws!

BTW, forgot to say in my PM, thanks for posting the article about Roli's mental calmness (?). Despite his aggressive and feisty on-ice personality, he's always seemed to me like a pretty mellow guy off it, so maybe that helps him off the ice too.

BTW, I was glad to read some TB media articles about the game yesterday that, rather than bashing him for the loss, focused instead on his ability to put tough losses behind him and other qualities his teammates and coaches admire, and those 2 or 3 huge saves.

(In one of his post-signing interviews last year, one of the guys acknowledged that and congratualated him; it sounded like it was the day he signed so obviously that would be July 1st. BTW, last week I found out that they're showing live games and replays on nhl.com for only $20 a month! This is the best way for me to see all Roli's game (including the big one of course! ). That's definitely something I'll be looking into when I get home.

BTW, love your new sig...obviously I agree 100% w/the "champion" part. That's actually why it honestly wouldn't upset me if he never wins a Cup...just b/c obviously the things that make him a champion are things that can't be measured by Cup rings, stats or anything else the world considers important.

Definitely! That's one of the things that is so great about this job, is that not only is it entry-level, but it's also only once a week so I'll be able to still work at LD all the time, which is exactly what I want. Plus it'll also give me a little extra $ for travelling!

Did you hear MacT's comments about him on the TSN panel tonight (basically about how well he's doing and how some of the other teams probably regret not signing him)? Sounds like they're still good friends, and I'm sure MacT has been following him really closely and w/interest.

Did you see Roli's interview on the home page today? It was great to see, and especially that he's doing well and continues to have his usual professional and positive attitude about the team and his role on it. I was sad he didn't get to play tonight, but hopefully I'll get to see him in at least one game on TSN this year!

Don't know about you, but I always get annoyed reading comments on fantasy web sites about how Roli had a "bad" game b/c he let in X number of goals on X number of shots. Sure 5 GA on 28 shots is nothing to brag about, but there were definitely bigger issues, at least in this one. Obviously that's preaching to the choir w/ you lol! Hopefully this game didn't hurt his confid

even though he must've been so frustrated w/his dmen, in particular. I always admire his ability to be honest in his assesment of games, but at the same time not deflect blame to his teammates individually or colelctively.

Glad to see another Oil/Roli fan here! It's so great to see people still supporting and following him; I love what that says about him.

Glad to see he got another start tonight and it sounds like he's doing really well! Just hope the guys can score another goal or two for him though... BTW, forgot to say in my earlier comment, I felt so badly for Dubnyk last night! ): He played great, and definitely deserved his first win last night. Hopefully it was a confidence-booster for him at least!
