  1. Yeah I guess the crunch time for all the tax crazyness is just about behind you, eh? I just did mine, and will be getting a sweet refund back to hopefully put towards my trip this fall! :) Are you going on any trips yourself, for your break? The new OMB does seem better; I still prefer this format but it's a lot faster and easier to read.

  2. It's definitely interesting that the Oil gave both DD's qualifying offers...not sure they would've done that if they were optimistic Khabbi would be able to play a lot next year. It's great to see how excited the kids are though! :) Summer has finally officially arrived in Vancouver...it was about 30 today and is supposed to be at least that warm tomorrow! :)

  3. Hey, thanks for your note! :) Glad you have your son's hockey tournaments to help you get your fix over the summer...I'm pretty much limited to YT clips and Canucks news! :P Yeah, despite Tambi's optimism (publicly anyway...) b/w Khabibulin's DUI and continuing back troubles it really sounds like he may well not be ready for the start of the season.

  4. almost made it! *focus on his wife and kids!

  5. BTW, it's Roli's wedding anniversary either today (still Canada Day here :P) or w/in the next couple days! (In one of his post-signing interviews last year, one of the guys acknowledged that and congratualated him; it sounded like it was the day he signed so obviously that would be July 1st. :) Hopefully this Canada Day/anniversary was more relaxing for him, and he was able to just foc

  6. I'm sure you saw that Tambellini signed with the Canucks today. It was funny, as soon as I found out he was waived by the Isles, I was thinking how interesting it would be if the Oil signed him. But obviously his dad has connections w/the Canucks too, and it sounds like he's really excited about coming here! :D

  7. I don't think Roli being off his game vs. the Oil will be a problem...it wasn't last year! :P I'm sure he's excited. It's been interesting to see the changes the Oil have made the last few days; wonder what they'll do tomorrow. Hope you have a good Canada Day tomorrow and are enjoying summer so far! :)

  8. Hey, long time no talk! What did you think of Quinn's "reassignment"? Did you see that Roli makes his return to Rexall on January 6th? That's a Thursday so hopefully they'll have it on TSN! (and some of their other games too! :) ).

  9. I got to listen to both the interviews finally! It was awesome (definitely not surprising though!) to hear him be so humble and talking about everything except himself, and especially that they had the conference call w/Tugnutt on the Nov. 24th one, and that he and Roli congratulated each other on their awesome games. :)

  10. Ok my bad, maybe it wasn't recent...it originally had yesterday's date on it, but when I went back it just had November 24th. But that was the day after his career game obviously, so it'll be cool to see what he has to say about that (and that they honoured his achievement in that way!).

  11. *w/them. It would also be sweet to see him as a guest analyst on the NHL on TSN @ some point this summer, especially since he's obviously from around there! Biron and MacT both do/did a good job though. :)

  12. Hey, there's a Roli interview w/HNIC on their home page today (from yesterday!) :) Unfortunately I haven't been able to listen to it b/c the speakers on the computer I normally use don't seem to be working properly, but hopefully I'll get a chance to before too long. Hopefully I can get it on my iPod eventually too! It's awesome the way he obviously has that rapport w/t

  13. Or not *hopefully* actually; it'll definitely be part of the trip fund. When $ isn't exactly easy to come by, and I of course have a whole bunch of regular expenses too, everything counts! :P

  14. Lol, I sent you a PM about the game, and noticed yours right after I sent it! Great minds think alike I guess! :P I didn't get your other comments, which is weird since I don't think there's a comment limit, but maybe it just got delayed in cyberspace for some reason. Maybe we should just stick w/PMs for now. :)

  15. Hey, I see you're back to LNOF on the OMB! :P I haven't been on there much at all since last year, but it does seem better than before. Hopefully I'll get my username back on there pretty soon too!

  16. *attitude adjustment as well.

  17. Yeah I'm sure MacT and co. will be making their roster decisions pretty soon; hopefully he at least gets consideration. I notice that in the list for the Masterton nominees, the choice wasn't named for either the Oil or Isles; it would be sweet obviously to see Roli get the nod. And maybe Penner for the Oil; obviously the coaching change helped him, but it sounded like a lot of it was an a

  18. I'm sure you've seen this too...the save was #3 in the Top 10 saves of the week on NHL.com. JDD made it in there too, #6 for a save vs. the Ducks! :)

  19. P.S. It's up on NHL.com now too. :)

  20. Hey, not sure if you noticed but Roli's save on Nash was Sportscentre's HON last night! This is at least the second time the season he's earned that honour! :D

  21. Lol, I just noticed Roli is now 2nd in goalie PIM (he was 1st for the longest time, as I'm sure you know!). Wonder who "beat" him! :P

  22. Nice to hear too that there are many more people in "our" camp now than the bashers...in other words, people who recognize and appreciate what Roli's done for the Isles this season, rather than bash him based just on his stats or the team's rough spots this year.

  23. Loved your comments in the Roli HFBoards thread yesterday, especially the last one! Nicely done as always, looks like you got your point across pretty well there! I agree, it would be awesome to see Roli get the Masterton nod if DP doesn't.

  24. Keeping my fingers crossed for Roli tomorrow! He seems to have a pretty positive attitude about it all (not surprisingly!), but hopefully he'll be OK w/the way things work out, from both a family and team perspective. Glad to see he had an awesome first game back! :)

  25. Yeah, most of the other games I just watched at home or w/my dad, and I don't regret avoiding downtown during the Olympics, but I'm so glad I got to go today and share the experience w/so many people. Another thing that's so great is how the Olympics, not just today but throughout it, has brought out so much pride and patriotism in people throughout the country.
