  1. *attitude adjustment as well.

  2. Yeah I'm sure MacT and co. will be making their roster decisions pretty soon; hopefully he at least gets consideration. I notice that in the list for the Masterton nominees, the choice wasn't named for either the Oil or Isles; it would be sweet obviously to see Roli get the nod. And maybe Penner for the Oil; obviously the coaching change helped him, but it sounded like a lot of it was an a

  3. I'm sure you've seen this too...the save was #3 in the Top 10 saves of the week on NHL.com. JDD made it in there too, #6 for a save vs. the Ducks! :)

  4. P.S. It's up on NHL.com now too. :)

  5. Hey, not sure if you noticed but Roli's save on Nash was Sportscentre's HON last night! This is at least the second time the season he's earned that honour! :D

  6. Lol, I just noticed Roli is now 2nd in goalie PIM (he was 1st for the longest time, as I'm sure you know!). Wonder who "beat" him! :P

  7. Lol, I sent you a PM about the game, and noticed yours right after I sent it! Great minds think alike I guess! :P I didn't get your other comments, which is weird since I don't think there's a comment limit, but maybe it just got delayed in cyberspace for some reason. Maybe we should just stick w/PMs for now. :)

  8. Nice to hear too that there are many more people in "our" camp now than the bashers...in other words, people who recognize and appreciate what Roli's done for the Isles this season, rather than bash him based just on his stats or the team's rough spots this year.

  9. Loved your comments in the Roli HFBoards thread yesterday, especially the last one! Nicely done as always, looks like you got your point across pretty well there! I agree, it would be awesome to see Roli get the Masterton nod if DP doesn't.

  10. Keeping my fingers crossed for Roli tomorrow! He seems to have a pretty positive attitude about it all (not surprisingly!), but hopefully he'll be OK w/the way things work out, from both a family and team perspective. Glad to see he had an awesome first game back! :)

  11. Yeah, most of the other games I just watched at home or w/my dad, and I don't regret avoiding downtown during the Olympics, but I'm so glad I got to go today and share the experience w/so many people. Another thing that's so great is how the Olympics, not just today but throughout it, has brought out so much pride and patriotism in people throughout the country.

  12. Your hometown boy for the win! :D Even though it was discouraging and stressful at the time, I'm actually really glad it ended the way it did, rather than 2-1 in regulation. I had so much fun today celebrating w/people; hope you did too! I'm so proud to be Canadian. :D

  13. As I'm sure I've told you, one of the biggest things I've always admired and respected about him is his ability to maintain a good balance b/w acknowledging his own play when that was a significant aspect in a loss, yet doesn't either beat himself up or blame any of his teammates specifically when he wasn't the reason they lost (if that made sense lol; it's been a bit of a

  14. Hey, apparently this was Roli's 500th career game! Too bad the guys couldn't hang on and get the win for him, but obviously he gave them the chance to win. Nice to see that he isn't feeling too hard on himself about it.

  15. Not bad, thanks for asking! The Olympic torch is going to be passing through my neighbourhood on Thursday, so I'm really excited about getting to see it! :) Yeah, hopefully they'll get back on a good streak soon. I feel badly for both Roli and DP, but at least they can take comfort in the fact that they aren't the reason they're losing.

  16. Some nice estimation skills there! :P soon. I admit I don't have any sympathy for Oil management about the Khabi situation, the reasons for which I'm sure are obvious to you. But this losing streak must be so frustrating, especially when they play well but just a few little things end up costing them.

  17. Yeah, I'm so happy for him that he had a great bounce-back game (although that's probably somewhat inaccurate since it didn't sound like he was much to blame for last game). It really is amazing, I find, how quickly he's able to put rough games behind him. I don't think I'd ever have that kind of mental strength he does. And hopefully the Oil will break out of their funk so

  18. Glad to see he got another start tonight and it sounds like he's doing really well! Just hope the guys can score another goal or two for him though...:P BTW, forgot to say in my earlier comment, I felt so badly for Dubnyk last night! ): He played great, and definitely deserved his first win last night. Hopefully it was a confidence-booster for him at least!

  19. Yeah I read about that last night; he's definitely done that before! Too bad people don't appreciate and respect those kinds of things more about him eh? Hopefully he'll still be able to play consistently and well if he's in a tandem w/DP, but since that was how he started the year w/Biron before he earned the starter role, I'm sure he'll handle it fine! :)

  20. *confidence too much and he'll have a chance at a bounce-back game pretty soon!

  21. Don't know about you, but I always get annoyed reading comments on fantasy web sites about how Roli had a "bad" game b/c he let in X number of goals on X number of shots. Sure 5 GA on 28 shots is nothing to brag about, but there were definitely bigger issues, at least in this one. Obviously that's preaching to the choir w/ you lol! Hopefully this game didn't hurt his confid

  22. So excited about Roli's shutout! :D Even though it was obviously a complete team game and he therefore wasn't *the* difference in the win, a shutout is a shutout! As otto said, he deserved it a long time ago. And Schremp w/two goals...another example of a player who was "rejected" by the Oil and is now doing well w/his new team! :)

  23. *more importance on things that have nothing to do w/stats or Cup rings, and acknowledged Roli has been successful for other reasons. :)

  24. Thanks, I'm glad you saw it! :) Yeah, she shared it w/me on the OMB at a time when it seemed like we were among the few true Roli fans. I was mad at myself for not saving her PM before the OMB changed over! ): But I'll always remember the story. :) Another thing I really liked about the article you shared was the last paragraph...and knowing that at least one hockey writer puts mor
