Definitely! That's one of the things that is so great about this job, is that not only is it entry-level, but it's also only once a week so I'll be able to still work at LD all the time, which is exactly what I want. Plus it'll also give me a little extra $ for travelling!

I forget if I told you that I have a library technician background (basically, classifying library materials), and I'll be working in a smallish library at an engineering firm. Hey, happy "Nova Scotia Day" (or are you guys just "Civic Holiday"?). Thanks for posting that Roli article from his hometown paper; again nothing surprising or unexpected, but it's always nice to see him have such a positive attitude about everything, and focusing on the team rather than himself.

The OMB seems to have improved a lot; I still like the original board best (minus the Roli-bashing of course! ), but this one seems to be pretty interactive and user-friendly. One thing I like is that for comments it lets you know how much space you have left, unlike this one!

I went back on the OMB today for the first time in ages, and noticed that I now have my "hfv" username back! I found a bunch of my friends on there too, including (hopefully) rockonoil, who was the one who told me the story about Roli I shared on HFBoards a few months ago.

BTW (knew I left something out, b/c I always do! ), it's awesome that the Isles seem to have made a pretty strong effort this off-season to improve defensively; hopefully that'll make Roli's job easier and give him the chance to get the team more Ws!

It's definitely interesting that the Oil gave both DD's qualifying offers...not sure they would've done that if they were optimistic Khabbi would be able to play a lot next year. It's great to see how excited the kids are though! Summer has finally officially arrived in Vancouver...it was about 30 today and is supposed to be at least that warm tomorrow!

Hey, thanks for your note! Glad you have your son's hockey tournaments to help you get your fix over the summer...I'm pretty much limited to YT clips and Canucks news! Yeah, despite Tambi's optimism (publicly anyway...) b/w Khabibulin's DUI and continuing back troubles it really sounds like he may well not be ready for the start of the season.

I'm sure you saw that Tambellini signed with the Canucks today. It was funny, as soon as I found out he was waived by the Isles, I was thinking how interesting it would be if the Oil signed him. But obviously his dad has connections w/the Canucks too, and it sounds like he's really excited about coming here!

I don't think Roli being off his game vs. the Oil will be a problem...it wasn't last year! I'm sure he's excited. It's been interesting to see the changes the Oil have made the last few days; wonder what they'll do tomorrow. Hope you have a good Canada Day tomorrow and are enjoying summer so far!

Hey, long time no talk! What did you think of Quinn's "reassignment"? Did you see that Roli makes his return to Rexall on January 6th? That's a Thursday so hopefully they'll have it on TSN! (and some of their other games too! ).

I got to listen to both the interviews finally! It was awesome (definitely not surprising though!) to hear him be so humble and talking about everything except himself, and especially that they had the conference call w/Tugnutt on the Nov. 24th one, and that he and Roli congratulated each other on their awesome games.

Ok my bad, maybe it wasn't recent...it originally had yesterday's date on it, but when I went back it just had November 24th. But that was the day after his career game obviously, so it'll be cool to see what he has to say about that (and that they honoured his achievement in that way!).

*w/them. It would also be sweet to see him as a guest analyst on the NHL on TSN @ some point this summer, especially since he's obviously from around there! Biron and MacT both do/did a good job though.

Yeah I guess the crunch time for all the tax crazyness is just about behind you, eh? I just did mine, and will be getting a sweet refund back to hopefully put towards my trip this fall! Are you going on any trips yourself, for your break? The new OMB does seem better; I still prefer this format but it's a lot faster and easier to read.

Hey, I see you're back to LNOF on the OMB! I haven't been on there much at all since last year, but it does seem better than before. Hopefully I'll get my username back on there pretty soon too!
